A Sabbath Rest - Hebrews 4:9-11

Hebrews 4:9-11 ESV
So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.

In other words, one cannot enter God's rest until they rest from their own works. There is no peace until we enter God's peace. He has provided the door. Entrance is possible when we lay our burdens down, when we obey His word.

Our striving becomes the work of faith. This is the work of God. It is to open our hands, letting go of self, and to reach for the hand above that will bring us into God's rest.
