Isaiah 53:7 ESV
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth;
like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.
The Greek word for "inflicted" conveys the idea of Jesus voluntarily submitting to this ill treatment at the hands of those He came to save. He is in effect the one who leads the way to the slaughter.
When the guilty stand before the white throne judgement they will have no words for their defense. When Jesus took our place for the judgement of our sin He likewise had nothing to say.
Every voice shall be silent, "so He opened not His mouth."
