Snake Divination

Acts 16:16  ESV
As we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit of divination and brought her owners much gain by fortune-telling.

The Greek used here for divination is based on a word derived from Greek mythology.  This god took the form of a snake or dragon.  This should tell us something about the source of these "divine" utterances.  The demons that tormented a man before being allowed to leave and go into a herd of swine knew that that Jesus was the Holy One Of God.

The truth is the truth, even on the tongue of those who follow after the deceiver. In the end every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.  Until that day many will distort the truth and swell the ranks of those that listen to the dragon.  They will share in his death and destruction.

God offers another plan, for life.
