It Becomes Personal

God wrote the ten commandments on stone tablets. Moses threw them down upon finding the Israeli's disobedience, breaking the tablets as a result. 

God rewrites the commandments on stone.

God then writes His law on the hearts of those who believe. 

In each case, it is done by the hand of God. The law does not disappear. but becomes personal.
