Philippians 4:11-13 ESV
11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Being content appears to be a learned behavior, the secret is Christ and being with Christ. There is much in the world that teaches and encourages discontent. One can readily and too easily learn this.
True contentment is the state of heart and mind which rests in Jesus. From this place of strength we can find our center, for He is with us.
