Genesis 6:11-12 (ESV)
11 Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
The coming flood and Noah’s escape due to His righteousness foreshadows the flood of God’s wrath to come. Israel is in the eye of this storm. God allows the prince of rebellion to punish rebellion on the earth.
Revelation 12:15 (ESV)
The serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, to sweep her away with a flood.
