God is the source of reality. Knowing Him brings us to what is real. Our distance from Him is the measure of our comprehension of life. The closer we are, the more we are in touch with reality.
Knowledge and understanding, along with our emotions, filter our perceptions and explain our actions. We place our faith in what we know. This is related to, but not dependent on reality.
