Strange Fire

Numbers 3:4 NET
Nadab and Abihu died  before the Lord  when they offered  strange   fire   before the Lord in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children.   So Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests  in the presence of Aaron their father.
The Lord was clear about how how He would be approached.  Aaron't sons ignored this and did their own thing.  The allure of strange fire has always been strong, for it is the manifestation of self in the place of God.

God has told us that He can only be approached by His Son.  Many cannot accept this teaching.  If one discounts Scripture, this is easily justified by many arguments. Pursuing self is supported and admired in the world.

The flames of the world may appear warm and inviting at first, but in the end this strange fire will be revealed as the path of destruction.
