There were numerous sects of Christianity soon after Jesus ascended into heaven. Today we call them denominations. They are offshoots from the Church known as the body of Christ.
They have their own recipes for the bread of life based on interpretations, traditions, and their preferred flavoring of the gospel. The closer they adhere to the original recipe that is Christ, the less harm is done to those who believe.
The word given by the Holy Spirit comes from the Son who speaks the words of God. The Church is comprised of those united by the Spirit. Any other church organization is a derivative of the original.
Whatever fellowship you find yourself in, make sure you are in in the Church of the body of Christ. He ascended into heaven. He is the only one. If we are in the body of Christ, so shall we.
