John 8:47 ESV
Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”
God's words do not make sense unless you are born of God. They are foolishness to the world. The Holy Spirit allows the hearing, speaking Spirit words that we can understand as those who are of God.
Our comfort and delight found in Scripture gives witness to the assurance and conviction that we are of God.
