The World Hates You - John 15:17-19

John 15:17-19 ESV
These things I command you, so that you will love one another.
“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

The command to love is in sharp contrast to the hate of the world. Our brothers and sisters in Christ are the subjects of this love and hate. We are commanded by Christ  to love one another. The world receives its commands from the prince of this world, the devil. He seeks the end and destruction of all who follow God and His Son.

This will not end until Christ brings it to its end.
God is love. Satan is hate.
The locusts are loosed in the world and the smoke of the dark pit continues to block the light. The same force behind the persecution of Jesus is going after the people of God. The dragon is enraged. The nations rage. Their time is running out. The foaming sea will be stilled.
